Optimal Function: The Importance of High-Quality Components in Lifting Technology

In the realm of lifting technology and cargo securing, the importance of high-quality materials cannot be overstated. Axzion places great emphasis on selecting top-notch components to ensure the highest quality and reliability. Discover why Axzion prioritizes premium materials and how they contribute to optimal lifting solutions.

Only with high-quality components can a safe and effective solution be achieved. Axzion has long worked exclusively with the best steel suppliers, including Arcelor, UnionStahl, ThyssenKrupp, and Carl Spaeter. These certified steels are obtained in blasted quality, optimizing their weldability and machinability. Fine-grain structural steels with high strength and toughness values, often thermomechanically rolled (TM steels), are particularly preferred.

Stainless Steels and Their Durability

The stainless steels used by Axzion must exhibit excellent resistance to a variety of aggressive media and high oxidation resistance. We predominantly select austenitic stainless steels, which are non-magnetic and have a nickel content of ≥ 2.5%.

Quality of Chain Components and Plastic Parts

Axzion sources its chain components mainly from RUD Kettenfabrik in Aalen, shackles from van Beest, and wire ropes from Henschel. Crane hooks and suspension eyes are supplied by renowned forging companies such as Peter Schöttler in Hagen. SpanSet secutex, a leading manufacturer of plastic parts for material protection, provides integrated impact protection elements that are easily replaceable, thus enhancing the durability of lifting solutions.

Textile Slings from SpanSet

The textile slings, such as hoisting belts and round slings, come from our parent company SpanSet. The large production facility in Übach-Palenberg enables lifting solutions even in the "super" heavy-duty range. Repairs and express deliveries guarantee high availability of the load handling equipment supplied by Axzion.

Materials from Renowned Manufacturers – Only with Certification

For all materials used, Axzion requires at least an acceptance test certificate 3.1 according to DIN EN 10204. For offshore applications, acceptance test reports 3.2 can also be issued by an independent expert. Qualified employees systematically conduct predetermined incoming goods inspections, and materials are only released for production after approval by quality assurance.

Flame Cutting and Traceability

Perfect flame cutting quality and complete traceability of the materials used are very important to Axzion. Flame-cut parts are produced on modern CNC-controlled flame or plasma cutting machines, and the finishing is done on modern edge milling machines. Steel is only taken into production if the corresponding acceptance test certificates and protocols are available and the material has been approved by in-house quality assurance. All material certificates and test protocols are managed and archived using IT, ensuring they are always available.

Conclusion

Axzion relies on first-class materials and stringent quality controls to ensure safe and effective lifting solutions. By partnering with renowned suppliers and utilizing state-of-the-art technologies, Axzion ensures that every component meets the highest standards.
